ISO 7800 Metallic materials-wire simple torsion test

This Standard specifies a method for determining the ability of metallic wire of diameter or characteristic dimension from 0,1 mm to 14 mm to undergo plastic deformation during simple torsion in one direction.

Equipment requirement:

Min. 55HRC in jaws, and parallel faces
The distance is changeable between the grip;
One of the grips shall be capable of being rotated around the axis of the test piece.
