1.      Purpose of the Test
Verifying the quality of the concrete,it mainly has the following aspects as to the mechanical properties:
 
Compression Strength Testing
Using the standard specimen: 150mm cubic,maintain in the environment of 20+2 degree,relative humidity 95% above,for 28 days,using the standard test method to measure the compression strength.It shows the ability of resistance to compression.
 
Using the standard specimen: 150mm cubic,process in the standard split-tensile grip fixture,loading between the up and down plane on the central line of the specimen to produce the tensile force on it.
 
Static-compression young's elastic modulus
Using the standard specimen:150x150x300mm, 6 pieces a group,test according to the relevant standard.
 
Flexure Strength Testing
Using the standard specimen: 150x150x600mm, 3 pieces a group,process under the standard flexure grip fixture(4 points bending fixture),it shows the ability of resistance to flexure.
 
2.      How to process a test
 
A. Mix the concrete
 
B Form the standard concrete specimen according to the dimension of relevant requirements.
 
Relevant instrument:
Various Standard Specimen Mold: for compression,flexure,split-tensile etc test.
Slumps Tester: test the viscosity of the concrete
Vibration Workbench: suit for slumps>70mm specimen
Stir Bar: suit for slumps <70mm specimen.
 
C. Curing the specimen
Put the standard specimen in the maintain chamber under a specific temperature,humidity and time.usually it keeps for 28 days.

D.Concrete mechanical properties test
 
1. Compression strength test (suit for test the strength of cubic and cylinder specimen)
Process: Take out the maintained specimen and 3 pieces forms a group,each one locate on the compression test to do the compress test.During the test,it requires a constant loading speed.When the specimen got broken,record the breaking force F(N) and calculate the compression strength according to the formula.
 
2. Axial central line compression strength test(suit for the rectangle column specimen)
Process: Take out the maintained specimen and 3 pieces forms a group,each one locate on the compression test to do the compress test.During the test,it requires a constant loading speed.When the specimen got broken,record the breaking force F(N) and calculate the compression strength according to the formula.
 
3. Static compression elastic modulus test(suit for rectangle column,cylinder specimen)
Process: Take out the maintained specimen,6 pieces a group,do the compress test under the compression tesing machine.
During the test,it requires a constant loading speed,the first 3 pieces doing the axial central line compression strength test,and the second 3 pieces test the elastic modulus,record the test result and calculate the modulus,when need to test the elastic modulus,it calls for the specialized elastic modulus tester
 
4.Split-tensile strength test(suit for cubic,cylinder specimen)
Process: Take out the maintained specimen,and 3 pieces a group,doing the test under the compression tesing machine with specialized split-tensile fixture and other bearing blocks. During the test,it requires a constant loading speed.When the specimen got broken,record the breaking force F(N) and calculate the split-tensile strength according to the formula.
 
5. Flexure strength test
Process: Take out the maintained specimen,and 3 pieces a group,doing the test under the compression tesing machine with specialized flexure fixture. During the test,it requires a constant loading speed.When the specimen got broken,record the breaking force F(N) and calculate the flexure strength according to the formula.
